Asher 5 Months!

Asher Boone you are five months old!!

You are the sweetest little love bug! You are always happy and smiling! You bring such joy to our lives.

I haven't weighed you lately, but I would guess you're around 21-22 pounds. Some days you feel so light to me while others you feel so heavy! 

You are nursing every 3-4 hours during the day and you wake up every 2 hrs through the night. You don't necessarily want to eat but just snuggle.

You are in size 4 diapers and 12 month clothes! You have begun to sit alone!! If I could just stop time I would be happy!!

My sweet boy I look forward to what the next month brings!

Asher 4 months!

Asher Boone you are FOUR months old!!

At you're checkup you weighed in at 19 pounds and 13 ounces and you were 26 2/4 inches long. You are the biggest baby I've ever held lol. You got 3 shots and handled them much better than your 2 month shots. 

You are working your way out of size 3 diapers and 9 month clothes. This past month you've found your love of toes. If you can get to them they are in your hands or mouth! You also rolled back to front this month!

You still love your sister very much. The way you look at her melts my heart. You're pretty fond of mommy too!

You are currently a terrible sleeper. I'm hoping it's the four month sleep regression. Most nights your up every 1-2 hours. I'm a zombie. (Or mombie ha!) Your daddy tries to get up with you through the night and you just scream... I'll get you from him and you're just fine. Your a mommys boy for sure!

You're still nursing every 3-4 hours during the day. You went 7 hours one day because we were busy! So I know you can go all night without :)

You're still the perfect addition to our family.. We love our "Ashe"!

I've taken both kiddos to walmart and toys r us alone and survived, I must've been crazy!!

I'm sorry this is 2 weeks late.. Welcome to my world, ha!

Regression

I don't know what has happened to my children this last week, but Graceyn is back in diapers and Asher is waking up every 1-2 hours at night!

At least they're cute.

Asher 3 months!!

We've loved this sweet baby boy for 3 months now! He has been the perfect addition to our family. We love him to death and big sister is pretty fond of him too!

Asher slept 9-5 our first night in a hotel as a family of four! We had lots of snow in KY so my work wanted me to stay in town so we took a "vacation" to the Hampton Inn ;)

In a normal night at home Asher goes to sleep around 8 and wakes around 12 & 4 to eat, then he's up for the day at 630!

He's still nursing every 3-4 hours during the day. He takes a bottle with hesitation when I'm not around, he loves his momma!

He really wants to sit up like a big boy. I figure he will have it mastered at 4 months. I'm guessing he weighs around 17 pounds now. He's in 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diapers! 

I just love my Asher Boone. I thank The Lord for my family every day!!

Potty Trained!

It has only taken 2 1/2 years but Graceyn B is finally thisclose to being potty trained!!!

I never imagined it would take her this long to WANT to use the potty. Shes known for a loooooong time how to use the potty and what the urges felt like. She's just flat out refused to do it. Saying "I want to pee in my diaper", for real???

For her first birthday we got her a little pink potty...

We knew it was too early but we began to talk to her about using the potty and she would watch us use it (ours not hers ;)). I always said I would wait until she was ready to make it easier on us all. Well one morning when she was 14 months old she said "Pee pee" and we took her to the potty and she peed!!! We were thrilled to death and assumed it was just a fluke. The next few days we would take her potty here and there and every time she would use it! She even pooped in it for her daddy!!

So we just knew she would be potty trained early. Ha!! She showed us.. Around 18 months she got really good at it. She even went a few nights in panties, we were so excited to be on our way out of diapers. Then we hit a wall. She started refusing to use the potty and then she wouldn't even let us change her diaper ( terrible twos?!?!). 

Anyways long sorry short she completely regressed in the potty training area. She's so stubborn sometimes (I'm not sure where she gets that from....). 

Right before Christmas she became OBSESSED with Paw Patrol. So I bought her these boy underwear in hopes they would do the trick..

 

She loves them and I'm not sure if they have actually helped or if she has just decided to finally use the potty. Either way we are almost there! She's been in panties for 3 nights now and has remained dry!!! Now to get Asher out of diapers.... Lol!!

2 hours.

Tonight Asher has been up every 2 hours, on the dot. 1030? Saw it. 1230? Saw it. 230? Saw it? 430? Still up at 5:20.

It's amazing a woman can function on naps, let's face it that's what it's called when you sleep an hour or two.

I know (and hope) that these days will come to an end (eventually). So for now I'll try to enjoy them.

Asher 2 months!

Today you are TWO months old.. How is that possible? I took you to the doctor today and you weigh FIFTEEN pounds (and 13 ounces). You're also 25.5 inches long! You are living up to the nicknames hoss and baby giant!!

You got your vaccinations today and you did not like them. Your legs were tender and you went to bed 2 hours early.. Hopefully you will feel better tomorrow!

You're still nursing, every 2-3 hours during the day and about every 2 at night. Brother you've got to change your nighttime sleep habits before I go back to work full time!! 

This past month you slept over 5 hours one night, why don't you try to do that again??? We were able to transition you to sleep in your rock and play, so I am enjoying sleeping in my bed again :)

You're still wearing size 2 diapers (barely). Son they only sell up to size 6 in the store so you're gonna have to slow down on changing sizes! You're wearing 3-6 month clothing.

Sister really makes you smile. You could just watch her all day. She's become pretty fond of you as well. Most of the time... Last night you got your first tub bath (2nd child I've been sponge bathing you!!) and she decided you needed a cup of water dumped in your face! You didn't even fuss.. 

Asher Boone you completed our family and we couldn't love you more!

2014: Year in Review

What a wonderful year we had in 2014.. I'll just hit the highlights since I don't have much time lol

January

This month began a huge change for our household. Jarrod quit his job to become a full time student and began the PTA program. It was an adjustment going to one income but we've managed!

March

While on vacation with my inlaws I discovered we were expecting our second child!

April

My first OB appointment was this month. An ultrasound revealed a single baby with a heartbeat of 144!

June

Our 20 week anatomy scan confirmed our baby was growing perfect! We enjoyed a vacation to Charlotte and the mountains!

August

I graduated with my BSN this month. Jarrod and I celebrated 8 years of marriage. We took one last vacation as a family of 3!

September

Birthday celebrations for our two year old started out this month!! We also transformed our extra bedroom into her new big girl room!

November

The highlight of the year, we welcomed Asher Boone into our family! We celebrated holidays as a family of four!

December

I turned 29 :(.. We celebrated Christmas and New Years at home. I love being on maternity leave during the holidays!

2015 had some big shoes to fill! What a blessed year we had!
