21 weeks!

How far along? 21 weeks! 

Symptoms: I had my first charley horse the other morning at 3 am... Haven't missed those!!

Total Weight gain/loss: Haven't weighed, don't really want to haha

Sleep: I need more ;)

Food Cravings: No cravings! Boo! 

Best Moment this week: We had our 20 week scan on Thursday and everything looked good! HB was 143 as always. Baby was VERY active. Still don't know the gender - YAY!

Movement: It's mainly active in the mornings and and when I lay down at night.

Labor signs: None thank goodness! Think I'm getting an occasional Braxton Hicks or just baby laying funny and making it feel tight!

Gender: No clue and not finding out! 

Belly button in or out: In!

What I miss:  CAFFEINE!

What I am looking forward to: Continuing a smooth pregnancy.

Milestones: On the downhill slide now ;) Next big thing is glucose test (yuck!)

Weekly wisdom: Be thankful. I've been in the NICU for clinicals for school and I'm just thankful to have had a healthy baby with my first pregnancy and I pray the same happens with this one.

20 weeks - Halfway point!

How far along? 20 weeks! Cannot believe we are at the halfway point!

Symptoms: I've felt pretty good this past week! This belly is growing by the minute, and it's HOT outside!

Total Weight gain/loss: At my appointment on Tuesday I was at a total of 5 pounds gained.. Woohoo!

Sleep: It's surprisingly getting better! I'm about to do 4 12 hour shifts in a row though so I will be dead!

Food Cravings: Not really craving anything, thankfully stomach issues have resolved and I've learned to love Tums ;)

Best Moment this week: Finally heard the heartbeat! I've only seen it on ultrasound the past 2 appointments! It was 140s like always.

Movement: I'm 100% sure I feel it now! I actually felt it from the outside the other night, twice! Jarrod was able to feel it move tonight! 

Labor signs: None thank goodness! Think I'm getting an occasional Braxton Hicks or just baby laying funny and making it feel tight!

Gender: No clue and not finding out! We have our 20 week anatomy scan this week so hopefully we can hold strong lol.

Belly button in or out: In!

What I miss:  Nothing this week!

What I am looking forward to: Anatomy scan on Thursday!

Milestones: Halfway there!

19 weeks!

How far along? 19 weeks! Due 11/10/14

Symptoms: I've felt pretty good this past week!

Total Weight gain/loss: Packing on the pounds now lol... Up to 6 pounds gained! I'm blaming it on a week vacation ;)

Sleep: It's surprisingly getting better! 

Food Cravings: Not really craving anything, thankfully stomach issues have resolved and I've learned to love Tums ;)

Best Moment this week: Graceyn fell asleep in the car so before I put her to bed I rocked her for a while.. The baby started kicking her legs because they were across my belly. I had my two babies together :)

Movement: I'm 100% sure I feel it now! 

Labor signs: None thank goodness!

Gender: No clue and not finding out! Everyone has said boy, Graceyn says baby sister. We will see in November! Narrowing down names is at the top of my list right now - and it's proving to be a  challenge! Jarrod and I have totally different name ideas.

Belly button in or out: In!

What I miss:  Vacation! It's back to work today.

What I am looking forward to: Dr appt tomorrow and we should have our big 20 week anatomy scan next week!

Milestones: We are 1 week away from the half way point! This pregnancy is flying by!

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day to my loving husband, who turned out to be the best father to Graceyn! Their relationship amazes me everyday, she's been a daddy's girl since the beginning! Love you Jarrod!

I can't wait to see you become a father of 2!

Charlotte 2014

We are headed home from a week long vacation to Charlotte, NC and a few days in the mountains. Jarrod was appointed as a special assistant student usher to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) House of Delegates. He spent Mon-Wed in their annual meeting doing whatever was needed from him. He had a wonderful time and learned a lot... And we enjoyed tagging along for the trip :) My MIL came along with us too.

We left around 730pm Sunday night and this girl was up past 11! Shes a pretty good traveler anymore. She finally crashed and this picture was around 2am. We arrived in Charlotte around 530am EST and we were able to nap until 930am! We spent the rest of the day lounging around our room and relaxing.

That evening we went to eat at a soul food place downtown called Mert's. This was the highlight of our trip!! They had the BEST food and our server was AMAZING!! We ordered an appetizer of "soul rolls".. These were like egg rolls but they had black eyed peas, collard greens, cabbage, and chicken.. Yum! Before we tried them my MIL said "I don't eat black eyed peas" and after she sampled it she wanted more lol!

Jarrod wasn't able to explore the city BC he was in meetings but that didn't stop us! We visited Concord Mills, the 3rd largest shopping mall in NC. We were exhausted by the end of the trip lol. They had a mini aquarium that we took G to and she absolutely loved it.

So our last day in Charlotte we went to a place called Discovery Place. It was like a science museum for children. They has a water room and she loved it!

We decided to head to the mountains Wednesday night and stay in Cherokee. Graceyn loved saying "go to mountains". We were only there long enough to eat, sleep, and leave before we headed to Gatlinburg for the night.

We went to the Ripleys Aquarium while there (sensing an aquatic theme??). Graceyn loved it too and her daddy was able to share in her excitement! She also found her new love of penguins....

And lastly, Baby #2 has decided to make its presence known...

This almost 19 week bump is much bigger than when I was the same with Graceyn...

18 weeks

How far along? 18 weeks! Due 11/10/14

Symptoms: Lately I've been having terrible stomach pains, high in my abdomen, after I eat a lot. It's crazy. Not sure what it is, hope it resolves! 

Total Weight gain/loss: Weighed this morning and I've only gained 3 pounds! Woohoo ;)

Sleep: I wake up and turn all night. My shoulders hurt and I can't get comfortable :( And I have a 21 month old visitor most nights ;)

Food Cravings: Food is not my friend right now so not really craving anything!

Best Moment this week: We are headed to Charlotte with Jarrod for APTA conference! Dr appt next week!

Movement: I'm pretty sure I feel the little booger here and there, especially when I lay down.

Labor signs: None thank goodness!

Gender: No clue and not finding out! Everyone has said boy, Graceyn says baby sister. We will see in November! Narrowing down names is at the top of my list right now!

What I miss:  Normal digestion ;)

What I am looking forward to: I'm enjoying a week off work!

Milestones: 1 more week closer to meeting our baby!

17 weeks

How far along? 17 weeks! Due 11/10/14

Symptoms: Heart burn on occasion.. I remember having it with Graceyn too, but I think it was later on. I feel exhausted in the mornings, I think it's my blood pressure being low, happened with Graceyn too!

Total Weight gain/loss: Total gain 4 pounds.. Lets keep it low ;)

Sleep: I wake up and turn all night. My shoulders hurt and I can't get comfortable :( And I have a 21 month old visitor most nights ;)

Food Cravings: Still love me some pickles!  And junk food! And fruit!

Best Moment this week: We are inching toward the halfway mark!

Movement: Still nothing for sure. Any day I would suspect!

Labor signs: None thank goodness!

Gender: No clue and not finding out! Everyone has said boy, Graceyn says baby sister. We will see in November!

Belly button in or out: In!

What I miss:  Dr Pepper and coffee!! I have some occasionally but nothing like before.

What I am looking forward to: We are going to Charlotte, NC next week - that could be fun!

Milestones: 1 more week closer to meeting our baby!
