Long time, no blog!

I'm really working on this whole blogging thing and trying to be more regular.. I promise! It's hard when we aren't really doing anything fun!! I'm counting down the days (5) until my baby turns ONE. I'm almost distraught over this. I cannot believe this past year has gone by so fast. This time last year I was wishing time away and now I'm begging for it to stop, or at least slow down. 

I will definitely devote a post to my sweet girls Bee (what else?!?) themed party (or should I say Bee-Day??).

Jarrod and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary yesterday in true lovebird fashion. I worked 8-8 and he spent the day with G and had class from 5-8. We did get up early for our morning workout! How romantic ;) I can't believe it's been 7 years...

I love that man more than he will ever know and I am so thankful for what he has done and what he continues to do for our family. I look forward to 70 more years with my love. 

I'll end my ramblings with a G update.

She has 8 teeth cut through now, it seems like she gets a new one everyday! She has started saying "baby", "bee", "crocodile" (as best as she can - it's super cute!). She says lots of things anymore, something new all the time! She loves animals and balls right now!

We just love this girl to pieces and we aren't sure how we ever got by without her...

Hey there!

Long time, no blog! Sorry it's a work in progress... Not much going on at the Evans household. I attend orientation at University of Kentucky this past week. I will start working on my Bachelors of Science in Nursing this fall, and I should graduate next summer! Graceyn is changing everyday and we are fastly (too fast) approaching her 1st birthday!! (Insert uncontrollable sobs). I'll be sure to post pics once that has happened! Here's my girl this past week doing what she loves - eating.

Graceyn is going through a phase (I hope) of not wanting to be rocked or sang to sleep. She fights us, so we lay her in bed awake and then she loses her mins screaming for a few minutes, lays down and goes to sleep! We HATE this. It hurts our hearts. But it's the only thing that works (besides partying all night long with her). Here's to hoping its a phase!

Baby girl now has 5 teeth through and working on 2 more! There's a new one everyday it seems. 

I'm looking forward to a date night this weekend with some old friends ;) hope to update soon!!

Weekend

This past weekend I co hosted a bridal shower with my mother in law for my future sister in law Leah. They are getting married in October and having a rustic wedding, so we wanted a simple shower with a touch of rustic.. I got all crafty (ha!) and made several decorations. Here's a pic of the tables..

I painted mason jars various shades of purple and wrapped the top of them with twine. I was pretty impressed with them! 

I bought the wreath ;) but I did add the E!!

We had lots of good food and good times! Graceyn wore a pair of Nikes that day for the first time, and I'm pretty sure she never stopped moving!!

Speaking of G, this sweet girl is changing every day! She's working on talking and saying (or trying to) lots of words! Here's just a few that she's working on; moo, book, all gone, car, dog, horse, shoes.
